power lock relay
So the owner before me seems to have enjoyed cutting up wires and then leaving them dangling. Anyways, the relay for the power locks is useless as one wire has been cut down to the box and there is no way to attatch it without it coming apart. My question is, do I need to order a specific relay for this from gm/pep-boys/ etc. or is it some generic relay that I can pick up from radioshack/fry's. Also, once I get it how exactly do the wires hook up? Never seen a new one before so its all unfamilair territory to me.

When you say the wire has been cut down to the box, exactly do you mean? The wires go into a connector and the relay plugs into the connector. It seems that you should be able to remove the bad wire from the connector and get one from a junked car, splice it in and put the terminal back in the connector. BTW, that relay can be found at any auto parts store. I don't believe that radioshack would carry it.

After looking at, I realized that one of the wires going into the connector (not the relay) has been cut to all the way to the connector, so there is no way for me to connect the wire to the connector. I guess what I need is a new connector with a couple of inches of wire coming out of it so I can connect the wires. I'm thinking this isn't something that is sold at an auto parts store, is it? Looks like I'm screwed for right now. Maybe I can try soldering it
