Sensor grounds all the same?

In my chilton manual the grounds of the TPS, MAP, IAC, etc all seem to change very slightly between years and models- but still use the same ECM. I just did a MAF to MAP swap and I need to run the ground to pin BB6. Would it work the same if I connected the ground of the MAP to the ground of the CTS and have nothing connected to BB6? Thats the way its done in a 91 but the tech article is fairly vehement about only connecting to BB6.

On the SD system that you are going to, the ground for the CTS & MAP is pin "BB6" of the ECM. The ground for the TPS & MAT sensor is pin "BB5" of the ECM. The reason that some of the grounds are changed around in the chilton is because they are very generic over several vehicle models over a number of years. Not meaning this is a negative way to you, but even though the Haynes and Chilton manuals have some use (?), your best bet is to dump it and get a Helms service manual off e-bay. I saw numerous years for the firebirds and camaros on there today for ridiculous prices. There was a 1982 camaro manual that went without a bid last night and the price was $.99 + $4.95 shipping. If I hadn't already had one I would have grabbed it.

Ok great, I'll wire it like that then. Do you happen to know if they are the same connectiong though? I mean they are both sensor grounds and right next to each other, could they happen to be going to the same connection once they reach the PCB?
