i'm so lost i dont know where to start
ok, i recently bought an 1987 iroc z camaro with a machined engine less and a rebuilt trans, only thing is the guy took off the wiring harness for it, so he bought me a painless wiring kit
all the wires seemed hacked up so i took out the wire harness from its base, but it was hooked up to the dash harness also, so i had to pull that out from the passenger side firewall, i then started removing all the wires it attached to so i could get the wire harness out of the way, i then put the painless wiring kit in, everythings plugged except a few wires such as injectors (btw how do you know which side the fuel injectors go to for the painless wiring kit, i couldnt tell), ignition, speed sensor, fuel pump, parking brake, and torque converter, since all of that is going behind the firewall i thought it was safe enough to put the dash harness back together, only problem though how do you seperate the old ecu harness from the dash harness? im so confused wiht a buncha wires just hanging about, i tried looking at diagrams but they didnt help much
plz lead me in the right direction, looking at the thing for 2 hours straight and being completely stumped really bothers me

Go out and buy a Chilton's. That's a MUST when working on any car. Once you get the majority figured out, then wire-by-wire questions will be a whole lot easier to answer.
