Rear View Mirror Map Lights (problem)
Little bit of history... I just recently replaced my headliner, and in doing so, found the wire/plug for my rear view mirror to opporate the map lights. I plugged it in, and it blew the ACC fuse. After replacing the fuse, I find that the switch on the mirror apperently doesn't work... when I put it in either position, the lights remain on. If I position it just right in the middle, it turns the lights off. However, I'm not sure that this isn't pulling power? And it's obviously not right anyways.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Is there a fix to this?? I thought perhaps I had the plug in wrong, but it lines up correctly, and I'm unable to plug it in any other way. I have the one with the 4 prongs...if that helps.
Any advice would be MUCH appreciated... I would love to take advantage of this map light, if it's not too big of an issue.

make sure that your switch to turn your headlights on isn't turned all the way to the left...that will turn your interior lights on....if thats not the problem then take the dome light down and make sure the light socket is wired correctly there should be a hot and a ground I think the hot is hot all the time so make sure the light socket isn't grounded to the chassis...I replaced my headliner and installed a mirror with map lamps
