Code Alarm CA670 install on 92 Z/28
Someone decided they wanted our 92 Z/28 (305/auto) as much as we did, but luckily they failed. Just a smashed window, didn't touch the stereo or the column.
I am going to have a local shop install the new Code Alarm CA670 alarm and remote start. I wanted to know if there was any tips, tricks, or suggestions you guys have related to this. I don't like the idea of spending $500 for an alarm, but it has to be done so I want it done right. Where should they put the hood/trunk triggers, good spots for the LED, where to put the brain etc. I'm going to see if they can put the VATS resistor in by relay so a thief would still need the key with chip to start the car. ANY AND ALL TIPS APPRECIATED. Does anyone have a wiring schematic for this car? The alarm has two armed outputs so in addition to the starter kill I'm going to have them either do a ignition kill or a fuel pump kill. Is one recommended over the other?
Thanks
Jeff
