where do the headlights get power from?

i finally decided to start working on poltergeist again and was putting it back together to do some more electrical t/shooting. i put my headlight switch back in and my headlights came on, but there are NO fuses in the block. i can't find any schematics that show where the power distro comes from, and it doesn't show anything on the light switch details, either. they will turn on and off with the push/pull of the switch, but i just found it odd that they will come on with no fuses. also looked at all the fuse distro's and didn't find anything there for headlights, either. high beams can be turned on/off, as well.

on another note, there is a dark green wire on the light switch that i read as going to the fuse block to power the instrument lights and a few other things, but between the switch connector and fuse block, i am showing no continuity. so that may be the root of my whole problem, i don't know. looking for clarification from some of you experts out there...

btw, this is on my '91 Z, 5.7 TPI (VIN 8)

To start with there is a nice red wire that comes from a fusible link and goes into pin "G5" of connector C100 on the drivers firewall. From there it goes to the light switch. That is why you can turn the headlights on at any time (HOT AT ALL TIMES) with the engine off.
That Dark green wire that you are referring to goes from the light switch to the "INST LPS" fuse on the fuse panel
