I currently am running a GMPP Vortec 350 TPi 5spd GTA. I want to install a performance oriented chip in my computer, however when looking at descriptions they only mention automatic transmissions. Does this mean that the chip will not work w/ my manual transmission? Also any suggestions on chips would be helpful too...thanks in advance.

 

Most chips that are designed for an auto will work with a stick. There are extra things the auto chips have to have but they shouldn't affect a stick.
Get a custom chip made by someone if you can, search around and find someone in your area that has some experience, those catalog bought chips are not usually tailored exactly for your car, they are generic. There are places online you can but the EEprom for your car, they are usally less than $10 but it costs closer to $100 to get them programmed. Usually the guy you find that can program them will know where to buy them, but if it costs more than $120 for everything, I'd ask what he is doing exactly. HTH.
