Weird noise under the instrument cluster.
I've got an odd problem. Well, not really a problem as it doesn't do much of anything, but make a little noise sometimes. Under the instrument cluster, somewhere, maybe near the fuse box, maybe not, there's a ticking sound sometimes when the car is off. Not sure if it happens when the car is on, but definately off. It sounds almost exactly like the turn signal/flashers ticking sound even down to the timing. Almost. It might be off some, I haven't tested that. Nothing is shorted, everything works, fuses, flashers, lights, everything. It only happens sometimes, no rhyme or reason to it. I've tried to locate it, but its realllly difficult to find under there for some reason. It happens every so often, but not every time. Now that I think of it, it seems to be slower than the turn signal standard and not as loud, but definately the same sound as the signals make.
Anyone know what it might be and/or why it does this for no apparent reason? I guess it could be related to the turn signals, but if so, why and how do I fix it? It doesn't last forever, just a random amount of time and then it seems to be gone.
