Wiring harness question
My whole cars electrical system is a mess. Hacked up like you wouldnt believe, half the time stuff doesnt work, the wiring is an absoloute MESS. Anyhow, I need to know what you think I should do about it. I've got a non computer controled engine, no emmissions stuff, pretty much BARE BONES. Electric fuel pump and electric fan are on switches (how i want it), aftermarket mechanical gauges, no heat or a/c or anything.......
All I need is the bare essentials (Headlights, tail lights, turn signals, wipers, etc.)
Anyhow, on a budget, I probably can't have the car wired by a professional, but something definatly needs to be done. What should I do? Should I get an untouched harness (both body and engine) and just go through with them out of the car checking everything, cutting out and removing anything i dont need? Any advice? Thanks,
-Chris

Don't ya just hate people that cut up a harness? I did my TPI to carb swap with only 7 wire cuts. (TCC, 4th gear switch, fan-R, fan-L, TACH, coil+, SES light) All the rest were tap connections. I have scans of the '88 factory wiring (not haynes) if you need them. They are big (2mb) bmp files for clarity, I hate schematics that you can almost read.

Hey...me too! I think I just stared at it for about 10 minutes repeating over and over to myself: "trailer hitch? TRAILER HITCH?!...".
Throw a TT 502 in there and have a tractor pull!
