What do i need to do this.
I need some electronic device that could pull a cable attached to something until its closed then stop. I also need it to be able to do the reverse to a certian point.
anybody know how i could do this and what i need?

im not sure if this is what you are talking about, but i know my sister's ford crown vic uses a pulley system with cables for the power windows.
