vss tranny to mech speedo...opposite of most posts
I have v6 gauges for my 89 RS with a 2.8. I'm going to change the resistor in the tach cluster to make it compatible for an lt1. The other gremlin I'm chasing is the speedo is mechanically driven, but the transmission (a '95 46le automatic) is vss driven. How can I make this setup work? If this is in the wrong forum moderators please move it.

I may be wrong here but I believe that you can remove the VSS sensor and put an adapter like they have in the 700R4 transmissions. You might want to re-post this question in the transmission forum and see if anyone has any inputs.
