What's this black box?

Hi all,

I just got an in car wiring harness from a fuel injected third gen and there was this box amongst everything. It wasn't actually built into the rest of the harness, it more like was alongside it. Does anyone know what it is and what it plugs into?

I'm guessing, but it looks like the cruise control module.

That box usually goes right next to, close to, the ECM on the pass side.
I am not totally sure, but I think it is the cruize control crap. i would leave it out. No need for cruize control, just me though.

The only thing I like the cruize control for is the sheer entertainment when I accelerate with the cruize button.
I do this to unexpecting people.
First i freak out, than tell them that my pedal is stuck. Than they deny it thinking I am messing with them. So, I lift both of my legs up and the car accelerates even more. They freak out, and I bust my *** off laughing.

Careful. Someone may be so tickled with your amusing antics that you take one upside the noggin

Ah, cruise control. Thanks for that. Now, for the million dollar question, can anyone tell me what the plugs connect to in the car?

So, does anyone know what the plugs hook up to?

Well, you should have VSS imput and an output to the cruise control itself. Probably something routed to the ECM as well. Beyond that I'm clueless. You might consider PMing Trickster, the wiring guru of the site.
