weird starter problem

Ok so heres the problem.

About a week ago I went to start my car and when I turned the key, everything went out. No lights no battery power, nothing. A couple seconds later everything came back to life, so I tried it again, and got the same result. After a few tries, the power stayed off for a while. So I got under the car and the solenoid was hot. I bench tested it, and sure enough, after a few tries it locked up. So I got a new one and put it in. But when I put it in, I left the feedback wire loose by mistake and had an intermitten overcharging problem. So I fixed that Sun. and everything seemed OK But when I went to start it after I got home yesterday the same thing started happening again. Only this time on the 3rd or 4th try it started. Is it possible that I got another bad starter, or somthing else?

Make sure all of your grounds are tight and not corroded.

ya I did all the normal check the grounds and connections when I fixed the loose wire Sun. And now the battery gauge has slowly been falling in the last couple days. Usually when Im driving its up a little past 13 but now its right on it, and its slides a little below 13 when braking or stopped. Im just wondering if it all has somthing in common
