4th gen Security Light
I have my brother's 97 Camaro Z28 for the week, and he has thrashed it a bit. His buddy definitely helped him too much in a drunken rage. One of his obvious faults is that the security light is always on. He has stock everything on the car. His VATS keys start the car normally, and his keyless entry still works. When I start the car, the security light is on, and it doesn't turn off. I don't have a scanner, but I might be able to rent one. If you guys have any ideas as to what this is without using a scanner, I'd appreciate some input.

If they are wired like the third gens, it sounds like a possible short in the gray wire going from the pass key decoder module to the indicator light.

Thanks, I'm looking at getting a 4th gen Firebird, so I have recently found some of their sites. Hopefully they have some answers.
