90-92 tachs
Ok so i ripped apart my dash and took out the gauge cluster. I took it apart and pulled the tach out. What is on the back of our tachs...kinda looks like a small motor..can you replace these? My tach no longer moves with the revs of the motor and its the only thing i can think of left that is wrong with it.
If anyone needs a picture ill post one up..

you have to get a whole new gauge if you want to replace it. or find one on ebay or salvage yards. You can swap the faces of the gauges. Does your tach work at all or is it completely dead?
You can also post in the parts wanted classifieds message boards to see if anyone wants to sell you one.

all the gauges use an electric "graph" on the back of the gauge assembly. then theres 2 plugs from the wiring harness that are clipped into the dash the the "graph" just lays on them...they dont actually plug in.
I believe there is a gauge fuse though under the dashboard...right under the steering column. I checked mine and its fine so
good luck
