chip code #

does anyone know the chip number for a 1991 firebird 305 TBI. i dont have my car right now so i cant check it. i wont be able to get the number from my car for a while but i want to order the chip so i can install when i have my car. it is a four letter code stamped on the stock chip.

Are you asking about a bare PROM? IIRC, that's a 2764, or 27A64, depending on the chip manufacturer.

Or are you looking for the factory burned PROM? The alpha code on the PROM cover/label may have changed from when you acquired the vehicle. Mine did. You won't be able to order a burned PROM by that number, anyway. You'll need the GM 8-digit part number for the "calibrator" designed for your year, model, and engine/trans in your vehicle.
