Electronics Need help wiring something up? Thinking of adding an electrical component to your car? Need help troubleshooting that wiring glitch?

Is there anything i shoule clean or check/tighten under dist cap?

Is there anything i shoule clean or check/tighten under dist cap?

I am replaceing the iginition control module with accell one and i ws wondering while I am in there is there anything else I should check? Can I spray it with a cleaner? Can I put dielectric grease on all of the plug connections? thanks

I wouldn't use a cleaner unless it's designed for electronics.
Dielectric grease never hurts, I use it on every connector I touch on my car. There is a 9/16 bolt that clamps the distributor in place. It's threaded into the intake manifold. I'd make sure this is tight and then check you timing after you all finished.
