90 rs cranks but won't start

Looking for help for my dad! He reciently purchased a 90 RS 3.1. All parts replaced new w/t reciepts when bought: computer, nock sensor, distributor, coil, injectors, ignition switch w/t new chip key. The car will crank but not start. The injectors are not pulsating. It will run on starting fluid/gas and then 1 and 6 injector pulsates until fluid gone, then nothing. Tried to recieve codes but gives none? Had 2 other mech./tech work on it with no solution? Please help!

I've got the same problem, but with an '86, so no VATS to worry about. I got an ignition tester, a little device that plugs onto a spark plug wire, and will spark if the plugs are getting sparks or not. (doing it tonight, should narrow it down).

This lets you narrow it down to either a) plugs and wires, or b) from the distributor cap down. If it's a new cap, ignition coil, etc. and it doesn't spark, then I'm guessing it's the distributor itself. If you see a spark in the ignition tester, it's probably either the spark plugs or some of the wires.

Not a definate answer, but hope this helps.

That actually did it for me... I found the relay over on the passenger's side, near the firewall. I also had to replace the spark plug wires, 'cause I was a) getting a weak spark, and b) oil had eaten through 2 of them (just got it, previous owner did it...).

How about the fuel pump fuse that is located next to the battery on the pass. side fender???
I am betting thats the culprit!
