Tbi to carb swap-what distibutor?

Im not sure if this is the right board or not, but Im swapping my tbi to a carb and I know I need a new distributor. But I dont know what kind. Ill be using a performer rpm intake. Its a 305. Im also going to be buying an msd ignition box. Will that require me to use a HEI one? Will I have to get a new coil? The one on there now has an external coil, not the top mounted one. Id like to find a used factory distributor. This seems like a really dumb question, but I have no experience with swapping ignitions.

why dont you just save yourself $ and time and headache and put a stock HEI on it and be done with it, for at least now ?

they are common as dirt and run trouble free

good luck

Ok, well are there any that I should look for? There seems to be so many kinds. How do I know if its not computer controlled?
