defroster grid power/ground ?
uhmm so how does the hatch defroster grid on the glass get power and ground ?
how does this work ?
does hot come through one strut and the other one is ground ?
?
also how do you go about repairing the grid strap that has broken off the glass ? can it be soldered back on ? it runs from the glass to the hatch strut connector
thanks

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....
Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
That's basically it; power goes in through the driver side strut, and grounds through the passenger side via a short cable to the chassis. You'll need the appropriate struts with the electrical connections, and your car may or may not have the large purple wire that feeds the driver side strut.
You've already found that the switches are different between the Camaro and Firebird; the Camaro unit is all one piece, while the 'birds use a seperate switch and timer/relay.
