battery question

Axle/Gears: 3.42 Posi,4.11 posi
battery question

I was disconnecting the negative cable from my battery this morning and the drivers side headlight motor started spinning, is this normal for cars with flip up lights cuz this never happened with my montero.

No, that is not normal. I believe the '87 models still had the multiple relay control scheme for the headlight doors. The problem may be in the motor end switch (torque actuated).

Perform a using the terms "headlight" "motor" and "switch". You should turn up a lot of information.
