Tail lights/parking lamps/gauge lights not working need help
I just bought a 91 formula 305 tpi last week. the gauge lights/tail lights/ parking lights all worked fine for like 2 days. then i noticed someone hooked up neons in my interior. so my dumbass just grabbed the neon and yanked and broke the wire, not knowing where it led. so that night when pulling the car outa the garage, i noticed that the gauge lights were not working and neither were my parking lights or tail lights. but my turn signals and brake lights worked. so the next day i try and figure it out. i pulled out my console and front carpet to see where the neon wire i pulled led to but i couldnt find it. so i checked the fuses and the 20A tail fuse was blown so i repaced it and as soon as i turned on my headlights, the fuse blew. this has been bugging me the past few days because i can't figure this out. i dont know if this is any way related to the wire i pulled from the neons or not. i didnt check the gauges or tailights or anything before i worked on it that day. i'm hoping that maybe its just a bad ground or something. any ideas? or has this ever happened to anyone before? does any one have any wiring diagrams for a 91 firebird? any help would be much appreciated.

I dount that it is a bad ground, but a really good ground where you ripped the wire out. Find that source, and you'll probably find the problem.
You can find diagrams here:

Haha I would if i knew who did it. Honestly who puts neons in a firebird? Its not a *** damn honda civic. they even drilled a hole on the top of my shifter plate to put the gay *** switch. so now i have a huge hole right above my power mirror switch. I wanna maybe put a ws6 emblem or somethin to cover it instead of payin $100 for a new shifter plate.

If you find where you ripped it (the neon) from, you'll find the source of your problem.

yea but the problem is i cant find where that wire is. there are tons of wires that somebody messed with under there and diconnected and i have no idea what goes to what. and the wiring diagrams all look like chinese to me. you think it could possibly be a faulty switch??? cuz the switch could effects all my symptoms. but my headlights work on the switch.

Since we do not have the vehicle in front of us, we cannot trace the wiring. There is obviously a lighting circuit grounded somewhere. It is either a wire, or possibly the instrument panel dimmer module transistor has an E-B short. It will be your responsibility to locate it. You have the link to the necessary diagrams.
