I am having a problem with my fuel gauge. I recently took out all the wiring for the computer and had the car stripped down to the wiring harness and body. I got all the gauges to work but the fuel gauge. The hot wire is hot, the ground wire is grounded good and the third terminal has continuety from the dash to the fuel tank. Any ideas of what this could be? The gauge worked fine like all the other ones before I tore it apart.

 

Check the guage itself and make sure of the connection for the wiring.
