Engine: 1978 305 w/TPI
Transmission: 1982 B/W T-5
Question-TPI and whats needed to make it run(no emissions)
I am in the middle of installing the TPI wiring harness on my 76 Volvo that doesnt have emissions equipment.
Will the engine start if none of the emissions equipment is hooked up for the TPI system? (i.e. EGR solenoid, A.I.R. diverter valve, canister purge solenoid valve, A.I.R. select valve)
Also....the transmission in the car is a 5spd and the computer is setup for a 92 camaro w/auto trans. What can I do about the VSS and the Gear Selector Switch outputs?
I know its a lot but if there are some links anyone has in mind where i may find my answers then please post them.

as far as the emissions, yes the car will run as long as you block the egr port under the plenum. You should be able to have a chip burned to delete the emissions so you don't get a trouble code.
I am not too familiar with the L98 computer programming so hofefully another member can dive a little deeper into this.

I bet you dont have 12V switched power going to the fuel pump relay. (orange wire)
