wacky speedometer
my speedometer tends to go up when i accelerate (i know thats what it should do but not to the degree that it does), it goes up much higher and faster than it should, and it seems that its almost always saying i'm going faster than i am. what would be causing this problem? would swapping out my gauge cluster for a 140mph fix this problem?

If the original speedo head has gone south, the 145 (provided it functions as designed) will cure the problem. By the way, I wouldn't swap the entire cluster, but only the speedo head itself. If the trip odometer doesn't work, check the following link:
