Brite light switch went out on me again,i heard most Gm cars have a same problem
My blinkers workin fine, windshileld wipers turning on but my brite light switch doesnt click at all, i replace the switch worked for a while but now it doesn't each time i pull my control switch back my front headlamps turning off, but my park lamps are stayin on, when i pull control switch forward to normal position my headlamps start workin again when my car is off i pull the relay switch back but i hear no clickin noises, wat do u think it could be? How much is the parts and labor would cost to fix it?
There are two M4 screws holding the dimmer switch (Item 83 in the diagram) to the outer column jacket tube. Loosen those (7mm hex socket) and adjust the dimmer switch (usually higher) so that the linkage will operate the switch.

It is also possible that the linkage is worn beyond adjustment. If you have a tilt wheel column, try tilting the wheel to the lowest position and operating the dimmer. If it works that way, adjustment may solve it. If not, you may have some wear in the linkages and would need to remove the long linkage rod (Item 77) and extend (bend) it to the correct length.

vader beat me to it.
the high/low beam switch is mounted down the column, and is activated by a rod...
loosen the screws on it and re-adjust it higher up on the column.
if your steering is worn, a temp fix is, push straight down on the steering wheel, and while its down, pull the high/low beam switch.
eventually though, the final fix for this is to rebuild the tilt column, so it doesnt move, and you wont have to adjust the switch anymore.
