I know the stock tach's in our cars aren't worth a hoot, but mine quit working. It worked about 2 weeks ago and I started my car this past weekend to go for a ride and noticed it was not working. I did a search and read a lot of probable causes but decided to post anyway to see if anyone has had their tach do what mine is so I can maybe narrow the solution down. When you turn the key to the on position and give the gauge cluster power the tach needle rises off the resting post, not quite up to the first number and that's where it stays. When you turn the key off it goes back down to the resting post. Any Ideas?
