The low beam element is burnt out.
The lows have a high and low element in them just like your turn signal bulb.
90% of the time.. a good smack on the lense will make the filiment regain contact for a short period of time.

Pop the hood, remove the retainer/trim 'ring' around the lamp (generally 4 torx screws.. only the top 2 really need removed, bottom just loose), pull/change the headlamp.. worry no more and drive safer at night.

There are 4 Phillips-head screws on the metal frame that holds the headlight bulbs in place. The upper two are easy to see and remove. The lower two are tougher. You'll need to pry the urethane of the front bumper cover down with a wedge to get to them. I'd suggest using a screwdriver with a magnetic tip so you don't lose the screws. To reinstall the frame I find it easier to bend the bottom two tabs at an angle. This allows getting the bulb and frame in easier. Once it is in you can reattach the electrical plug to the back of the bulb.
