MSD 6AL mount on/by battery????

MSD 6AL mount on/by battery????
ok, did the search. checked the instructions and just want to make sure soooooo.....
is there any reason you could not or should not mount a MSD 6AL right above or in close proximity to the battery?
actually thinking about making a bracket to hold it on top of the battery.

I actually mounted mine just below the battery on the frame piece that you can see. It has been ther for about 6 years now with no problems at all.
