Power door locks, continuously locking and unlocking

Hi, I need help with this, my door locks won`t quit locking and unlocking and drained my battery. I took out fuse 11(20 Amp-Yellow)- Glove box lights; Cigar lighter; Hatchback Lid Release; Horn Relay; Interiot Lights;Power Antenna; Power Door Locks; Radio/Digital Clock; Computer Command Control--- to make the locks stop and charged the battery. I can`t get it fixed right now (what`s wrong with it?) and I have to get it inspected on Monday, can I drive it without that fuse..Fuse 16(35 Amp-Circuit Breaker...also stops the door locks. What about taking that one out instead...Can I disconnect the power door locks? As you can tell I don`t know too much about cars, but I need to drive it...Do you think it`s a short? When I took fuse 16 Circuit breaker out and put it back in it sparked, is it supposed to do that? Thanx for any and all info

You're probably right about it being a short. Check your wires and see if any of them have bare spots where the insulation could have rubbed off.

Thanx bigbird, but can I drive it without one of the fuses that I mentioned in my post...I won`t mess up the car or anything, will I?,,,Can I disconnect the door lock and unlock switches? I`m trying to do something temporary so that I can use the car till it`s fixed.

sometimes the fuses will spark a little. but you can always try it. i would disconnect the circut breaker one, run the car for a few, and see if you notice any changes, ie... temp etc... and if not, go with that for now.

Personally, I would just unplug the electric door locks so that I wouldn't run the risk of damaging some other part of the car, but that's just me.
