yay power seats
well, not really, I'm still very bitter over their acquisition.
the problem is the seller flaked out and didn't send me the harnes they'd promised and I don't have warm fuzzies about them sending it now. reguardless, I'd like to get the seats in ASAP (mostly because they're amazingly comfortable compared to the standard 3rdgen seats), but I need to wire the damn things. Assume the following:
I will never get the harness
My car never had power seats before. Apparently others on the forum have found the harness under their carpet in their non-power cars.
I've looked through the forum as much as I can stand, and the forum's search feature appears to be broken.
I'm competent with wiring on a small scale, if someone knows which pin gets positive voltage and which one gets ground, I can improvise from there.

I've got a complete Power Seat wiring harness I can sell Ya for $20 shipped.
Wiring made easy - Plug and Play !!!!!
The harness runs from behind the kick panel, under the carpet and thru a hole under the drivers seat. The Black wire is simply screwed to the body for ground.

Sure - The Orange is power and the Black is ground. The Power seat should have power when the key is OUT of the ignition so if you plan to 'TAP' into a power wire somewhere - make sure it's an ORANGE wire. You can see from the picture I attached earlier that the seat power wire is a heavy gauge wire compared to most of the thin accessory wires used everywhere in the car, so be carefull when you 'TAP' into & Be sure to get a good ground to the body!
The factory wires plug directly into the power accessory Junction block located behind the drivers kick panel. Even if your car has no obvious power options already,.... this junction block should be there ! The Black ground wire gets screwed to the body in any location you want.
