brake light trouble, short maby?

in my 85 firebird i did a complete restoration and its now complete. When i replaced almost all of the interior of the car i as well added fog lights to my bird(went from a formula to a trans am body ground effects).so i had to run the wires for the fog lights and i drilled a little hole, sealed to as well, a couple inches up from the brake pedal and up to the dash. when i put my foot on the brake all my dash lights come on even when the car is off, my rear tail lights come on very slowly and are very dull. im sure it is a short but where to start i didn't hit any wires when i drilled the whols anyone ever have this problem? thanks for the help?

you have to look where the wires for brake lights come near the parking light wires. unfortunatly there is alot of places. i think that harness goes down the driverside. i would start at the easy places though, under the dash, near the lights. u definatly have a place where the brake light wires are touching the parking lights though. maybe you can find a spot to disconnect or cut(last resort) the wires to isolate the location.
