4th Gen Power Seat In 3rd Gen

Anyone have some good ideas for pulling this one off, i got new seats off ebay and the drivers seat is power, i have a 85 firebird and no idea where to start stripping and splicing...

This just an idea - I saw just last night a pic somewhere of the connection for the optional clock (located in the center console) - I don't know if all cars have the clock connector in tact, or if it's only certain cars that have the connector - but it would be a connector unplugged from anything (unless you have the clock) under the center console where the window and trunk release switches would be - that could possibly be a close 12v source - and you can ground anywhere.

Anyone with "clock connector" experience please chime in.

i know in the 89 rs that i had when i pulled the carpet out there was already a plug under there for the power seat just had to cut a slice in the carpet and run it through.....

If you're lucky enough to have the power-seat harness already in the vehicle, then you can adapt those wires to power the seats.

If not, there's a 4 pin connector under the driver's side kick-panel shroud that eventually powers the door lock solenoids and power window motors. You could tap into those wires .
