wiring issue. any ideas?

I just wired my stereo. I've done this stuff before, i know what i'm doing.

when i did that, the amps just barely turned on like they didn't have enough power.

i now find that non of the accessories in my car, inlucidng lights, turn signals guages, etc work properly. lights are dim. turn signals take forever to click back and froth etc.

OK but the kicker is that the starter still works flawlessly and the car runs.

I'm runnig a remote starter solenoid. the power wire from teh battery goes to one post of the solenoid where it then meets up with three pink power wires with fusible links that all go and run the rest of the car. the other side of the solenoid is, of course, the starter.

so EVERYTHING in the car acts like the battery is dead but the car turns over and fires right up.

I HAVE DISCONNECTED ALL THE STEREO STUFF NOW INCLUDING THE HEADUNIT

I can't find anything behind the headunit that might be the problem. I checked the fusible links and they are all good. the alternator is correctly connected....

i don't get it.

I will be able to eventually troubleshoot the problem but i'm going to have to tear things apart. I was hoping someone could say there is a big fuse or something that controls everything in the car that might have partially blown. I did hear a pop at one point.

ANY IDEAS FOR WHERE TO LOOK? i don't want to have to tear it all apart.

I'd look at the relay (starter solenoid) first. Basically it routes power from the battery to either the starter or the rest of the car (ignoring the other circuit for now).

It's possible that one pole of the relay has passed-on so the starter works great but everything else is ka-put, as you describe.

Sorry, no big fuse...

Its just a two pole relay (except for the activator pole) and the battery power wire is on the same relay pole as all the power lines running to the car...so that can't be it.

seems like the other common thing would be the ground from the body to the negative side of the battery. ive had corrision do the same thing to me. on my truck the corrision got up in the cable and changed the resistance and the voltage drops.
