Looking For A Hot Wire To Splice??
Im Looking for a live wire when the car is running and ONLY RUNNING under the hood i can splice into? Right now the previous owner spliced into the green wire on the windsheild wiper motor and thats just stupid to have the fan and the electric choke all on that. So i rewired the fan and now looking to rewire the elec. choke and need a live wire?
Thanks,

Try the purple wire that leads to the starter... If it's only a choke, it can't hurt it. Personally, I would route it to the fuse block.

To run to fuse box, take a wire and route it through the firewall where the other wires get routed - then crimp a standard spade connector on the end and in the fuse panel you will see several empty spots - at least one will be a hot-in-run, just stick it in.
Just make sure it won't ever get cut and shorted at the firewall - run it through the rubber hole with other wires - a coat hanger becomes handy for this tape your wire to it, stick a rubber vacuum boot over the sharp end, lube it with grease, and slide it in with the other wires.
Everything else still stock? I switch to carb from TBI - and left all my TBI wires under the hood (for now). I tapped my electric choke into an injector wire from the old TBI - it was right there - didn't even add any wiring, just crimped a spade on the end of it and attached to choke. This is why I tell everyone to install mods first, THEN tear out old wiring several months later - you always need something after it's too late LOL.
