Found My Problem! How Do I Fix It?

Alright folks, over the past month ive been unable to drive my car, for the simple fact that I would be driving and my car would start surging uncontrollably and would even die a couple of times, the speedo would also start spitting out random numbers (STOCK Digital Dash)

So, with my car running, I started to jiggle and wiggle every wire I could find to see if any was loose or unplugged, well, I started to get up to the coil of the car, (Been replaced with a "Blaster Coil" , I jiggled a wire near it, I immediately here a loud PSHHHHH sound, like a HUGE static shock would sound like, and my engine Immediately shut off.

My question now is, I know which wires are causing a problem, but I dont know where they lead to or where it's shorting at, there's also two plugs on this wire that connect into one another, how do I go about replacing the wires so my car will stop shorting out?

One word: Helm

Get yourself a Helm manual for your year and model car, and then spend an afternoon or two tracing the wiring to see what's been jerry rigged. Also, you didn't tell us what color the wires were or where they lead to. A picture might help.
