Power Hatch Pulldown Gears?

Well, my hatch got caught on some **** in the trunk while it was getting pulled down and while I was trying to get the damn thing to stop it stripped the gear or whatever it uses to move up and down. Anyone know what I need to buy to fix it? Its a 92 Camaro RS if that matters.

Thanks.

Take it apart and see what is stripped and buy the broken piece. Normally it is the flimsy plastic housing that cracks around the screws and splits over time. A $20- $30 part. In my case there's a plastic nut that broke as well as the nylon guides were chewed up. Here is a link you may consider, I got my stuff from junk yards and ebay and cost tons more than this kit.

Go to the advertising on theis site like TDS or hawks. They have them. Or go to a junk yard and pull one off. They are plastic and strip easily.
