Weather VS FP gauge in cowl opening?
I'm planning on mounting a 2 5/8" 0-15 psi Autometer Phantom in my cowl (4"). The directions say not to mount it inside the car of course, because I didn't want to spend $70 more on an isolator and mess with water filled lines and having the gauge and isolator level... etc. The directions also say not to put it somewhere where it can get wet, unless it's a liquid filled type. Would mounting it in the cowl be an alright place? I'm only out ~$45 if it stops working, then I guess I could just upgrade to a liquid filled one. I already opened the box so returning is out of the question. I would like to hear opinions before I go do something stupid.
