Parking Brake Light Stays On?
I did a search, and couldn't find anything on this one.. Anyways I took the interior out of my car a little while ago, and everything worked fine, I put it all back in, and the parking brake light is constantly on, it won't stay off.
Basically if I play with it, and hold it about 3/8s of an inch above were it rests, the light goes off.. so my question is, where is the switch that controls this, and is there just a dirty contact? And if so, would I be able to access it withou ripping out the console again? (taking the console out on a bird is a pain in the ****, along with putting it back in.. especially with a megashifter) any advice would be appreciated!

The wire to the parking brake handle is probably pinched in a bracket or the ratchet mechanism. It basically grounds that lead to turn on the light, so if the wire gets pinched that'll ground it, too. It's right on the backside of the base of the parking brake handle. I had to hold the button down the pull the wire out from under the prawl. I believe I got it there during a megashifter install as well.
