serpentine swap alternator q's (searched) please HELP

hey guys i have like the title says done a serp swap into my 84 z any way just wanted to see if in all my readign i have found the best way of hooking up this cs130 typre alternator

s terminal (10gauge?) this goes to the batt terminal on the back of alternator

L terminal this gets 12v dc switched and there are conflicting reports as to weather or not there need to be a resistor inline

f terminal this one goes to the black / brown wire that goes to my voltage guage in the dash

does this sound right??

please i need to get this right so i can drive the new 350 that went in at the same time haha

there should be a wire on the back of the alternator going to the battery with a fusible link, then theres either a 2 or 3 wire black connector, 1 big red wire should go to the starter terminal, then there is a brown wire that goes to the electric fan relays/battery gauge, sometimes theres a tan/wht wire that i hear does the same thing as the brown wire.
