Battery cable question
I did a search and didn't find what I'm looking for. Would it be possible to use the type of power cables used in high power car stereo systems for battery cables? I've seen these types of cables used from the battery to the alternator in some cases and other that a possible issue with exhaust heat why couldn't I use the same 4 gauge or larger OFC power cables for positive and ground cables? Seems like a logical improvement in conductivity over regular battery cables. Could also use the smaller 8 gauge or possibly 10 gauge for the other connections. Anyone?

WIRE YOU ASKING
Apart from the temperature rating of the insulation,
the most important thing is the wire gauge, (given the
same metal). Don’t believe the nonsense in the advertising
of audio cables when they tell you their overpriced
wires are better due to [fill in hype here].
Happy Racing!
