wireing gremlins

ok guys ive got two major problems here i think i know the answer to one of them but i wanted to run them by you guys.

#1 my radio and my interior lights both have no power. i didnt even think these two ran off the same circuit. but they both went out at the same time. i checked and did NOT find any blown fuses. could the relay in the convienence center under the dash have blown out?

#2 we wired up my dual fans with a switch and now they wont turn on. when i try to power them up it blows the gauges fuse in my fuse box (because i have it conected to the acc port underneath it. so it seems as if there is a short somewhere. ive looked at all the wireing and id otn see anything that could be wrong. the only other thign i can think of is possibly an internal short in the switch it self. it was working fine last night and it just stopped working when i went out to start it tongiht.

Are you using a relay for the fan operation?

Like he said, those fans draw WAYYY too much current to be drawing it through the acc fuse. You will need to run it thru a relay with a much bigger fuse straight from the battery.

I have made a test light out of an old park light bulb and socket or a side marker bulb and socket. A little primitive but works when you don't have a real one.
