While doing something else, I noticed a couple wires that don't seem to go anywhere...anybody have any idea. Here's some pics:



The wires in question are the orange and yellow ones coming out of the white connector. The wire colors on the other side of the connector are orange and brown



What is this connector for? It's a brown wire underneath the map pocket. The car doesnt have Cruise...could it be for that?

They could be for the factory radio.I remember a yellow wire for illumination & an orange for memory(or vise/versa).I forget what the brown is for.This is on my 84 camaro also.

 

Those blue butt connectors and the light blue hooded 1/4" spade connectors are NOT factory wiring. Someone was there before you. There's no way of knowing what might have been done.

 

Yeah, that someone was me....that's for my aftermarket CD player...I'm just curious about the other wires. Everything on the car works fine, I just was wondering.
