need an answer soon...sos
okay i've been having major wiring problems for two weeks, i've blown 2 instrument panels. now that i have finally corrected all the wiring, i need to get another instrument cluster. my questions is will a guage cluster out of a 91 rs w/ a 145 speedo, work in a 86 z28 that had an 85 mph speedo? they both look the same, however i've heard conflicting stories on whether they will work? please give me your input so i can make this deal or seek something more compatiable...... thanks

Chevrolet changed the Camaro's(F-Body in general)wiring harness in '88 or '89.This in turn changed connectors and connection pints even though the clusters look almost identical.I'm not 100% on this but I have a feeling this is going to be why your'e having problems.
And like 82 Iron Duke points out the '91-'92 clusters are completly different design from the pre '91's.
