Performance chip?

Performance chip?
I posted this earlier in the TBI thread but figured it will get better responses down here, My 91 bird with 305 and 5 spd manuel came with a jet chip just wondering if these things actualy increase horsepower? thanks.

It doesnt give you you're moneys worth. It is basically a stock chip with a different fan turn on temp, lock up speed, and slightly more power enrichment and timing IIRC
