i am in the process of installing a slightly modified l98 into a 1989 iroc( i did not remove i bought minus engine). most of the sensors and wiring makes sense but i cannot find all my starter wiring. if somebody could post pics or wiring for the starter that would be great. i am really looking at the negative battery connection and can't figure out where it connects from the battery to the starter. thanks for any help.

 

The negative battery cable does NOT go to the starter. It connects to the engine block (effectively supplying a ground for anything electrical on the engine), mine connects to a bolt by the harmonic balancer. The positive cable is the one that goes to the starter along with some fusible links (which supply everything electrical for the car).
