Please help!! t5 harness

I want to put a 700r4 in my 88 GTA with busted t5, have automatic chip, trans, convertor, radiator and lines. Need help with the wiring to lockup the converter. What does the two wire plug on the t5's for. I know the rear is for speedo but whats the other for? Can I splice in or change a manual harness to work with a 700r4? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I believe that to be for your back-up lights. My T5 only has the 2 connectors - VSS and back-up lights.

You could add all the wires for the 700r4 but might be easier to get the harnesses. you will need to have three wires to the trans. one from a fuse through the brake light switch then to the trans. Then two to the ecm. One will be for the high gear switch in the trans and the other for the lockup solenoid. The you will need to run wires from your clutch switch to the shifter for the starter wires. Reroute the reverse lights to the shifter and I think there might be a wire that goes to the computer for park/neutral. Mike
