Is this distributor too strong?

I found this really cheap, brand new distributor that puts out 65,000 volts. This is the link to the page: eBay Motors: CHEVY HEI DISTRIBUTOR 65K V SUPER COIL 350 400 383 RED (item 250010996338 end time Jul-28-06 22:49:34 PDT)
Is this too much power for my 350 engine? Also can I attach the MSD 6AL ignition box to this later on or will I have to get a billet distributor?

An ignition system will only generate the level of voltage necessary to jump the gap of the plugs. A system which MAY be able to develop a peak of 65KV will more likely operate at 20-30KV driving around the street or strip, just like a stock ignition. The need for higher voltage arises when cylinder pressures increase well above what a stock engine will create in normal driving.

That makes sense. Would this distributor work with a MSD 6AL?
