Headlights pop the CRK fuse

So im wondering if you guys know where i might start looking for this little problem. When i pull the headlight **** to turn on the lights, and it gets to the "parking light" stage it pops the CRK fuse(at least thats what i think it says, it's worn off alot) This unfotunatly kills the brake lights for the lights (ex the brake lights light up but do not stay light when the headlights are on for nightime driving) Any ideas where i should start, could the headlight swtch be bad ?

Thanks

It sounds more like you are blowing the TAIl LP fuse.

Yea your right, i must have been looking at the fuse above it that says CTSY, so it's the TAIL fuse, So when i pull the headlamp switch at blows that fuse, so where should i start checking, from the tailights back ?

Common problems are pinched/grounded wires, contamination in lamp sockets (don't forget the license lamp and side markers), improperly installed bulbs, lamp sockets falling apart, and shorted bulbs.

I'd start by removing the lamps and testing circuit resistance again.
