OK...i got a 91 RS...it came with a 305 TBI motor...when i bought it, it had a 350 TBI on it...so i switched to carbed.Now,most of the motor had to be put back together...simple stuff like lifters,push rods,things likethat....we got that on,ready to turn it over to time it.We put a good battery in it(out of my daily driven truck)and it does absolutely nothing.My radio,buzzer and headlights work but that is it . When i turned the key to turn it over,it does nothing at all...no click,nothing.What do i need to look for?...where is what i need to look for at?...can i unhook the electric fuel pump and not have to worry about VATS ?...i'm at a total loss here and have no idea where to go from here.I could pay a mechanic,but i want this to be a car i did by myself if at all possible...can someone PLEASE help this idiot out ?

Can ANYONE help me ?...i put a manuel fuel pump on it as well....do i need to do anything to the VATS ?....my fuse box isnt on the side of the wall,but above my left leg,i desperatly need some help or it will just sit here and rust down

VATS controls the starter enable relay in addition to the injectors on a TPI/TBI system. It sounds like VATS is locking out the starter relay. Do a search for starter enable or VATS bypass which should get you on the road.

 

I did a search,and trust me i'm not the most tech savvy person in tha world so i reckon thats why i didnt see anything and i switched from TBI to a carb...so any help finding the exact place or some pics would be great !!
